Shamal is a basic model of the DG range: an economical cajón but with an excellent sound, a lighter weight version of the classic Kiyo model.

Entirely manufactured in first choice birch plywood, and equipped with an innovative and patented tailpiece mechanism: the PTT ( Pre Tuned Tapa ), consists of a set of 10 thin harmonic steel springs that are positioned inside the striking surface, to which an optimal tension is given, and which are fixed by means of high-strength thermal glue.

In this way the percussionist does not have to worry about tuning the instrument, and the risk of broken strings is greatly reduced. An innovative and simple approach that achieves an excellent sound and ''snare'' effect.

Furthermore, as with all DG cajon models, the front panels feature the RTS system, which substantially increases the useful life of the instrument, allowing them to be replaced.
