Dunlop Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz Guitar Effect Pedal
Paying tribute to guitar hero Jimi Hendrix, this special edition Band of Gypsys Fuzz features a custom finish with the famous 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert poster by revered rock artist John Van Hamersveld, remixed by Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration with a buzzsaw starburst, gorgeous sunflowers, and psychedelic lettering in vibrant colours.
Constructed inside a mini MXR chassis, the Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz is based on an enigmatic Fuzz Face Distortion used by Hendrix at several of his iconic shows between 1969 and 1970 - most notably, the Band of Gypsys performance. Featuring a red finish with white knobs, this mysterious pedal sounded completely different than any other Fuzz Face pedals he owned - delivering an aggressive, grinding tone. Lost to time, this pedal's distinct sonic footprint has been immortalized in recordings. Narrowing the sound down to a version of the Octavio circuit without the pedal's iconic octave-up effect, the engineers at Dunlop tweaked the sound until they perfected it with the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion - giving you access to the same glorious Fuzz Face tone Hendrix used to captivate audiences at some of his most iconic performances.
