Crafted from vertical, horizontal, and diagonal plies of 1/36" veneer, VLX shells are engineered to deliver a wide frequency range. Vertical Low Timbre/Diagonal grain shells are the lowest grain orientation available from the DW Custom Shop
• VLX+ Grain Orientation Bass Drum - VLX+, utilizing three vertical plies, are also available on any custom Collector's Series® kit.
• Pure Maple Kit - Nine-ply Maple shells offer lower fundamental pitch for signature DW punch, warmth, and resonance.
• Stunning Black Nickel Hardware - Collector’s Series® turret lugs offer an iconic design, while holding tuning and distributing tension to prevent warping
