1963 was the last year the name "Les Paul™" was used on the SG™ Custom and the first year for the Maestro™ Vibrola™. All the premium features this model is known and loved for are here, including a one-piece mahogany neck with a long neck tenon, a Slim Taper™ profile, and a bound ebony fingerboard. It also features mother-of-pearl block fingerboard inlays and a custom split diamond headstock inlay on the Gibson-style "open book" bound headstock. The electronics are equally impressive. Hand wired with three of the Gibson Custombucker humbucking pickups, CTS® potentiometers, Mallory™ capacitors, Switchcraft™ pickup selector and output jack. The VOS (Vintage Original Scene) Classic White finish is beautifully complemented by gold hardware, including Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio. A black hard-shell case with "Inspired by Gibson Custom" graphics and goldenrod interior is also included.
