With a slightly slimmer “concert depth” body than the J-45 Standard, the J-45 Special offers a tighter, more focused bass response that sits effortlessly in the mix — plus, it’s more comfortable to hold for long playing sessions. The neck is joined to the body using a traditional compound dovetail joint secured with hot hide glue, ensuring stability and resonance. Its SlimTaper™ profile delivers a fast, comfortable playing experience, complemented by a rosewood fretboard with a smooth 12” radius, simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and 20 frets.
The rosewood belly-up bridge features a TUSQ® saddle, nut, and bridge pins for enhanced tone and durability. Reliable Grover® Rotomatic® tuners keep your tuning rock solid. Finished in a sleek satin nitrocellulose lacquer, you can choose between Satin Vintage Sunburst or Satin Wine Red.
