The Brooklyn drum features a 6-ply North American maple/poplar shell that is slightly thicker than the Gretsch USA Custom drum and has a 30-degree bearing edge. The interior of the shell is finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer. Each shell has a unique Brooklyn Shell label inside that indicates the drum shell's model number and serial number. The Brooklyn toms and snares feature Gretsch's signature "302" hoops. Measuring 3mm thick and double-flanged, it is reminiscent of the hoops used by Gretsch until the mid-1950s. Brooklyn offers a classic Gretsch tone that's rich, punchy, and warm. Brooklyn's innovative specifications have created a new Gretsch sound characteristic that is more open and satisfying.
