What sets this Renown apart is the addition of Gretsch’s player-friendly 302 hoops—borrowed from the acclaimed Brooklyn and Broadkaster series. These hoops deliver the focused attack of die-cast models while remaining lighter and more flexible, allowing the shells to breathe and resonate with full-bodied warmth and sustain.

True to Gretsch form, the Renown comes equipped with signature hardware elements like the low-mass GTS mounting system, classic T-Wing screws, memory locks, iconic lugs, and bass drum spurs—all designed for both style and function. Available in a variety of timeless finishes and popular configurations—with optional add-on toms, snares, and kick drums—the Renown 2016 is built to meet the demands of today’s most versatile drummers, on stage or in the studio.
