With origins in traditional Yoruba and Edo music and Samba Baterias percussion ensembles, the agogo might just be the oldest Samba instrument in existence. Still used in ceremonial music today, and now used all over the globe, these bells produce a cowbell like sound when struck for a unique percussive element when creating rhythms.
