• The Jupiter Sound Comeback First introduced in 1974, Pearl's Jupiter snare drum rapidly gained popularity among drummers due to its immaculate Chrome-Over-Brass shell, three-bead design, and Parallel Action Strainer, which provided exceptional sensitivity. Over the years, models evolved, featuring variations in the number of inner shell beads and offering both Parallel Action and Standard Strainers, yet they all maintained a vibrant, impressive sound. The sought-after, well-rounded midrange snare tone of Black Nickel Over Brass drums is present here, but with a slightly elevated fundamental pitch.
• Nicotine White Marine Pearl Shell Inlays Another Pearl innovation, the Duoluxe features the only inlaid metal shell in the snare drum industry. Our signature inverted two-bead shell design, celebrated in vintage Jupiter models, is meticulously filled with hand-cut strips of Nicotine White Marine Pearl (#405). This design not only creates a subtly refined shell overtone but also presents a distinctly unique and instantly recognisable appearance.
