SST

Developed to create a multi-ply, bonded drum shell with all the strength, power, and resonance of a single-ply shell, Pearl's exclusive SST procedure begins with hand-selected premium hardwoods - chosen for their unique tonal qualities - and utilizes the world's first high-temperature hydraulic curing system, with each layer being precisely milled to exacting thicknesses and bonded into 2-ply panels. Pearl's proprietary overlapping scarf joint seams are featured to guarantee an air-tight fit - with wood plies are smothered with Pearl's exclusive "AcoustiGlue", which spreads evenly through every pore and dries to the precise consistency of the wood for superior resonance.

Hardware

All of Export Lacquer's shell hardware appointments are designed to get the most out of each shell in the kit - delivering superior tone, greater power, and keeping everything securely in place.

From the BSP-70 kick drum spurs with retractable spike, to the classy NEL Lug and FTB-07 Floor Tom Bracket, Opti-Loc three-point tom suspension mounts, insulated Kick Drum Claws, and 1.6mm triple-flanged hoops, each of these elements combine to maintain the tuning integrity of each shell, while also contributing to the overall sonic footprint of the kit.

• Opti-Loc Tom Suspension System - By suspending the shell at two tuning points and one of the drum's air vents, the three-point Opti-Loc isolation mount provides solid, reliable performance.
• NEL100 Lugs - Compact and classy to take up less space on the shell's surface, while remaining efficient enough to maintain the integrity of tuning while performing.
• Insulated Bass Drum Claws - Nylon insulators keep the Export's lacquered kick drum hoops safe from "spider bite" damage often found with metal claws, while also providing slight harmonic control in the kick drum.

Snare

With a shell composition inspired by Pearl's Reference Series, the Export Lacquer 14" x 5.5" Snare Drum features a stunning UV-cured lacquer finish and high-impact shell hardware to provide a solid foundation with commanding accents. This snare employs the SR-700 Throw Off for reliable, efficient performance, and greater control over playing dynamics.
