Carefully designed pads and hardware dramatically reduce the volume of your playing sound, while sound-absorbing materials isolate all of the kinetic energy of your drumming and prevent it from escaping into adjacent rooms. Designed for Quiet Performances Making V-Drums even quieter required meticulous research into sound transmission and construction materials, and the development of entirely new technology to overcome the problem of drum noise. Through extensive testing in specialised facilities, the V-Drums Quiet Design Kit VQD106 has been proven to reduce noise by an astounding 75% compared to traditional V-Drums kits. Kicks and hi-hats are incredibly smooth and quiet, and hitting the pads with sticks creates a sound level in the room similar to an average conversation. Ultra-Responsive Snare and Tom Pads The snares and toms in the VQD106 kit feature advanced noise reduction while still delivering the great stick feel and natural rebound you expect from premium V-Drums pads. The PDQ-8S and PDQ-8 pads feature noise-absorbing honeycomb rubber inserts covered with a mesh head. Specially placed vents on the bottom of the playing surface release air pressure to further reduce noise. The PDQ-8S snare features independent head and rim triggering, as well as a soft rubber coating on the edges for quiet rimshots. Articulate Cymbal Pads with Natural Motion The VQD106 kit includes three versatile CYQ-12 cymbal pads with honeycomb rubber, mesh cover and ventilation, as well as snare and tom pads. And the plastic parts are isolated with rubber material to eliminate vibration. In crash and ride positions, the CYQ-12 offers independent bow and edge triggers, natural sway movement and the ability to mute the cymbal by grabbing it. In the hi-hat position, the pads are paired with the FD-9 control pedal to ensure detailed response and ultra-quiet operation. Satisfying Kick Pad and Beater The KDQ-8 kick pad creates the satisfying "darkness" that every drummer desires, while confining the sound to your headphones. The 20cm playing surface accommodates single and double kick pedals and features a high-density triple-layer pad covered in a dual-layer mesh material. This is housed in a floating frame to reduce vibration and noise transmission. Four rubber feet provide stability and further isolation, the included quiet KDB-Q beater has a specially designed round head to minimise contact noise when striking the playing surface. Our innovative stand and pedal bases complete the V-Drums Quiet Design experience, keeping the remaining clicks, thumps, and vibrations from transferring to the floor and other rooms in your living space. Special hemispherical rubber feet on the stand isolate pad noise, while the dedicated NEQ-K and NEQ-H bases for kick and hi-hat pedals also have special rubber foot designs to keep foot stomps contained. The bases have been newly developed for the V-Drums Quiet Design series, evolving on the design of our popular NE-10 Noise Eater product. V-Drums Quiet Design options. If you already have a V-Drums module and want the benefits of the V-Drums Quiet Design hardware, no problem. The VQD106PADS model offers everything you get with the VQD106 set, minus the module and connection cables. V-Drums Quiet Design components are also available separately, allowing you to expand your kit or upgrade the pads in your current V-Drums setup. The pads are compatible with a variety of V-Drums modules in addition to the TD-07, including the TD-17, TD-27, TD-50X, and V71.
