Roger Sadowsky has made it his mission to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Together with the electronics he developed, he has managed to take the well-known J/J bass sound to a new level, so that today one can speak of a typical Sadowsky Tone: never harsh sounding, with deep, defined, by no means dull basses, present but not intrusive mids and sweet and airy highs. All features of this modern bass sound can also be found in the 21-Fret Vintage J/J basses of the MetroLine series, which is made exclusively in Germany. All basses have a weight of approx. 4.0 kg and are therefore also interesting for bassists who are looking for a modern bass sound as well as a lightweight solution for the stage. Special features of the Vintage J/J basses of this series are the active electronics with True Bypass of the Preamp with Vintage Tone Control, Treble as well as Height Boost, the ultra-light Sadowsky vocal mechanics and the special Sadowsky Bridge, which allows a quick string change. The five-string bass with slightly reduced J-Style body made of swamp ash comes here in a glossy '59 Burst Transparent High Polish Finish.
