With a durable, long-excursion woofer housed in a ported enclosure with solid bracing, computer-optimized for powerful low-end frequency response, the enclosure of the TS315S is constructed from a dense wood composite. This sturdy material is virtually acoustically perfect, ensuring that the subwoofer's output is always clean and articulate. Traditional enclosures made from thin metal or plastic are prone to flexing, and actually negatively affect the acoustic impact of the speaker by dissipating the driver's energy throughout the cabinet enclosure. The TS315S's rugged braced wood composite housing doesn't waste the driver's energy as cabinet resonance.

The Perfect Match

In order for a subwoofer to integrate into an existing speaker system, a strong and clear output is only half of the equation - it needs to blend perfectly with the companion speaker. The Alto Professional TS315S have a choice of six selectable DSP output modes, allowing the subwoofer's frequency response and crossover frequency to be matched perfectly with the speaker it's paired with. Four of the six selectable options match the subwoofer perfectly with Alto TS2 and TS3 full-range speakers, while the other two options ensure a seamless match even when using non-Alto branded full-range speakers.
